Ico Parisi’s furniture, like this set of nesting tables, often has narrow tapered legs. He was inspired by the traditional Italian Chiavari chairs, designed for generations of Genoese fishermen from the early 19th century until the 1950s, and by New Look fashion design in 1950, which focused on tapered silhouettes. The tapered legs of Parisi’s nesting tables give them the characteristic lightness of his designs. By nesting into one compact stack, the tables conserve space until needed.
