Warren McArthur and his corporation were tasked with designing most of the furnishings of the Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix, including this wrought-iron jardinière stand, which held a shallow copper planter in the top. Albert Chase McArthur, the brother of Warren McArthur, was the architect for the hotel. Both brothers had studied under Frank Lloyd Wright, and Wright’s influence can be seen in the works. Warren McArthur also manufactured metal furniture that became popular in Hollywood.
